"If you can improve the quality of my eLearning courses,
without breaking my budget, you've got a deal."
We've heard this too many times before, in one form or another, and now Esprit has decided to step up to the challenge. We are pleased to introduce our new Esprit Quality Improvement Program (eQIP).What is the Esprit Quality Improvement Program (eQIP)?
The eQIP provides clients with objective, third-party feedback in the form of a Quality Assessment Report which highlights inaccuracies in content, defects in function, required corrections and suggested improvements. Documented corrections/improvements may be planned and implemented by Esprit or any internal/external resource, in the most cost effective manner available to our valuable clientele.
Who will benefit most from a Quality Assessment Report?
Any business designing and developing eLearning courses, web sites, or company presentations:
Internally with limited and/or unskilled resources, due to time or budget constraints.
Externally using specialized vendors that were unable to close the project effectively and deliver accurate, functional, and interesting material as contracted.
Exactly what options are covered within the Quality Assessment Report?
Functionality
Every training program and web site must function like a well oiled machine. Links that go nowhere, graphics that load incorrectly, and slides that don’t load at all, distract the user and render the program ineffective. Esprit reviews each and every area of the program to ensure all elements function as they should.
Appearance/Consistency
A primary difference between a good program and a great program is it’s ability to attract attention and inspire interest. Without interest, the user is unlikely to retain information. Colors, graphics, positioning are all key when crafting a program intended to teach rather than lecture. Esprit looks at every item and how they will affect the common user.
Editorial/Grammar
Possibly the most frequently overlooked area of development is spelling, phrasing, and general word usage. Often pressing deadlines and limited resources result in a mega-dollar training program or web site containing embarrassing, yet easily avoidable typos, punctuation, and duplication of words. Our Quality Assessment Report will identify errors such as these and document them accordingly.
Technical Content/Accuracy
Often considered the “nuts & bolts” of any program, technical content is a black box Esprit is comfortable unraveling. Our technical professionals can proof your draft or completed content, using any source you suggest or require. From 1000 page PDF files to printed SOP’s to complex Operating & Maintenance Manuals, Esprit is up to the challenge.
Methodology
Every trainer has a style of their own. To complement their existing methodology, our objective, third-party feedback before, during, or after content development can assist the trainer in choosing the very best approach for that particular subject matter and audience.
Suggested Corrections & Improvements
In addition to evaluating the material, Esprit will document all defects, required corrections, and suggested improvements, within each option category chosen by the client.
Suggested improvements can include adding key video elements, 3D imagery, Flash, employee completion logging, etc. Any high-value additions or deletions we believe will improve overall comprehension and retention of core content.
How does Esprit ensure confidentiality?
Only Esprit Media professionals authorized to work on a project are allowed access to confidential project material. Esprit is willing to supply and/or sign industry standard confidentiality agreements, upon request.
What do I do with the Quality Assessment Report? What if I don’t have the time or resources to make the corrections and/or improvements?
Esprit can take charge and become your primary resource. An Esprit Project Manager will provide a quote for what is requested and will lead our team of professionals to effectively complete all specified work.
In the event you have paid an outside supplier or receive your trainings from an internal group or parent company, Esprit will be happy to manage that supplier so that you may finally receive the world-class material you require and had expected…and in many cases, what you have already paid for.
How does Esprit charge for this service?
Every Quality Assessment or resulting work is assigned a Project Manager and is quoted and managed as a project. Esprit will provide a fixed price quote, upon completion of a preliminary evaluation. Final quotations are based upon complexity of the material, options chosen, and requested delivery date.
